When you join the Caluga Farm Ledger waitlist, you’re securing your place as a household ready to receive a share when capacity becomes available.
We’ll invite members from the waitlist in order as new harvest allocations open.

Will I be charged when I join the waitlist?

No. You will not be charged today.
Your payment details are securely stored so that, if a place becomes available and you choose to accept your invitation, your share can be activated without needing to re-enter your details.

Why do I need to add my payment details now?

Because the ledger is limited, we need the waitlist to reflect households who are genuinely ready to join.

Requiring payment details helps us:

  • allocate places fairly
  • avoid delays when spots open
  • ensure available shares go to committed households

It allows us to run the system smoothly for both the farm and our members.

Does joining the waitlist guarantee me a place?

Not immediately.
Joining the waitlist secures your position as a ready-to-activate household, but places are limited and released as harvest capacity allows.

How does the Caluga Farm Ledger work?

The ledger is a limited membership of households who receive a monthly share of beef from our farm.

Each month, we harvest a small number of animals and allocate that beef across our members — balancing cuts to honour the whole animal.

What will I receive when I join the ledger?

When your place opens and you join:

  • You’ll receive a monthly box of regeneratively raised beef
  • A mix of steaks, roasts, mince and slow-cook cuts
  • A welcome bundle including your Caluga hardwood meat board

Each box reflects the animal and the season.

Why is there a waitlist at all?

Because we only harvest a limited number of animals each month.

Rather than scaling beyond what the land can support, we choose to keep the system small, intentional, and aligned with how we farm.

Who stores my payment information?

Your payment details are handled securely through our checkout and subscription systems.
We do not manually store or have access to your card details.

Can I buy beef bones and organs

Yes, ledger members will have the option to add marrow bones, soup bones and organ meats based on availability. We'll send an email when we know how much is available and you'll be able to add it to your order.

What sizes are available?

You can choose between:

4kg monthly share – ideal for individuals or couples

8kg monthly share – ideal for families or households that eat beef regularly

Each box is thoughtfully curated to represent the whole animal.

Can I pause or cancel?

Yes — at any time.
There are no lock-ins, no penalties, and no minimum commitments. You’re free to pause or step away whenever you need.

Is shipping included?

Yes.
All Ledger orders include free refrigerated shipping to your door.

We deliver to most locations across Australia where refrigerated courier services operate.

If you need a break, skipping a month or two is often the best option and allows you to keep your place on the Ledger while life settles. You will also have the option to gift your box to someone if you need to skip a month.

 

If you choose to cancel, your allocated place is released and offered to the next household on the Ledger waitlist. Should you wish to rejoin in the future, you’re very welcome — you’d simply re-enter the waitlist and be invited again as space becomes available.

 

This approach helps us manage a finite harvest fairly, while keeping the Ledger flexible and human.

Why is the first box more exspensive?

The first Ledger box includes one-time setup, onboarding, and handling costs that don’t apply to future deliveries. All boxes after your first are charged at the standard Ledger rate.

This one-time price difference helps cover:

Initial processing and setup costs

Premium packaging for first deliveries

Member onboarding and Ledger administration

Any included welcome materials

From your second box onward, pricing returns to the standard Ledger rate.

 

This additional cost doesn't apply on seasonal pricing.

Do you include sausages in your packs? What ingredients are in them?

Yes - sausages are occasionally included as part of some Ledger boxes, depending on the month and the balance of the animal.

Our sausages are:

Gluten free

Made from quality beef and beef fat

Simply seasoned, with no fillers or unnecessary additives

Ingredients:
Beef, beef fat, rice flour, salt, mineral salt, spices, spice extract (160c paprika extract for natural colouring).

Like everything we produce, sausages are made to use the whole animal well, without compromising on quality.
